Our group's research focuses on the fabrication, characterization, and application of micro-structured optical fibers (MOFs), utilizing both structural and material degrees of freedom to control and manipulate light. Specific areas of focus include:



1). Hollow-core/Solid-core MOFs



2). Applications of MOFs in Nonlinear Optics, Laser Optics, Optical Communications, Quantum Optics, Distributed Sensing, and more



3). Near-field optical studies of on-chip micro/nano-photonic devices
