报告摘要：The seminar will present an overview of the activities of the group Materials for Advanced Photonics and Sensing (MAPS) at Politecnico di Torino. The activities of the group focus on three main research topics:

• specialty fiber optics,

• micro- and nano-structured materials,

• fiber optics sensors.

In the field of specialty optical fibers recent contributions about active fibers and bioresorbable optical fibers will be presented. The work realized on micro- and nano-structuring of classical and 2D materials for SERS and IR detection/sensors and the realization of functional surfaces will be reviewed. In addition, applications of fiber optics sensors to composites and environmental sensing will be discussed.  

报告人介绍：Davide Janner，都灵理工大学材料科学与技术系(DISAT)，博士、副教授。2006年获米兰理工大学物理学博士学位。博士期间，他从理论和实验两方面研究了光在周期介质(声子晶体)中的传播及其定位效应。2006年至2015年底，他加入光子科学研究所（ICFO），作为一名从事通信和传感声光和电光器件研究的博士后，主要研究微纳米制造技术。自2016年1月起担任材料科学副教授，目前主要研究方向为光子学应用的玻璃材料、光子传感器和微/纳米结构多功能材料以及激光材料相互作用的添加剂制造。他的研究领域还包括纳米制造工艺领域的技术转让和工业设备研究。在Science、Physical Review Letters、Nature Communications、Laser & Photonics Reviews等国际期刊上发表论文80余篇，在重大国际会议上发表特邀演讲9次，获得专利3项。
