报告摘要:
Benefitting from the rapid development of nanotechnology, nano-scale manipulation of light in terms of its phase, amplitude, polarization and wavelength is available and opens the door to metamaterials/metasurfaces and nanophotonics. This presentation is focused on three basic problems in nanophotonics. First, focusing light into a nanoscale spot will be discussed with the theoretical prediction of its real diffraction limitation, design methods of planar metalens, experimental realization and its applications in optical super-resolution imaging and nanofabrication. Second, shaping light to reconstruct a holographic image is another hot topic including metasurface holograms and nanosieve holograms that will be presented with simulated and experimental results such as having no high-order diffraction and twin-image issues, ultra-broadband operation, large angle-of-view, high uniformity, etc. Finally, nano-structuring light with a helical wavefront related to its orbital angular momentum (OAM) provides a novel approach to realize the compact and polarization-sensitive vortex generator. The twisted focusing and continuous generation of optical OAMs will be demonstrated.
