报告摘要:
Recent developments on microwave photonic systems for processing, storing, as well as measuring microwave signals are presented. They address the important performance issues that appear in the conventional structures by using different approaches including a frequency shifting amplified recirculating delay line, an integrated dual-parallel Mach Zehnder modulator, Sagnac loop interferometer, and in-fibre stimulated Brillouin scattering. We focus on the structures that can suppress interference, convert a microwave signal into lower frequencies, and shift the microwave signal phase, a structure that can store an RF signal over a long time, and a structure that can measure the frequencies of multiple microwave signals with high accuracy and high resolution over a very wide frequency range.
报告人简介:
Erwin Chan is an associate professor and an electrical and electronics engineering discipline leader at Charles Darwin University. He was a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Sydney. His research interests include microwave photonics, photonic signal processing, and fibre optic communication. He has contributed over 100 technical publications in which more than 50 are in the IEEE or OSA journals.
