2012年6月24-28日，由美国光学学会主办的Optical Sensors主题会议在美国加州蒙特雷召开，关柏鸥所长受邀出席会议，在会上做了题为“Implementation and characterization of polarimetric heterodyning fiber grating laser sensors”的特邀报告和题为“Strong Bragg grating inscription in microfibers with 193 nm excimer laser”的一般口头报告，并担任了Temperature and Photonic Crystal Fiber Sensing会场Session Chair。
