We warmly congratulate AProf. Zilan Deng for his co-first authored publication titled "Diatomic Metasurface for Vectorial Holography" published in Nano Letters (IF12.712).

Metasurface is an emerging research hot topic featured with wide spread applications including lenses, vortex beams, holograms and color prints. Generation of arbitrary vectorial polarization state distribution represents a fundamental challenge by current state-of-the-art metasurface structures. In this article, an entirely new kind of diatomic metasurfaces is proposed to realize vectorial holograms with arbitrary polarization state distributions. By shifting and rotating the meta-atom pair with identical geometry in each meta-molecule, dispersionless and full control of phase and polarization can be readily achieved. Broadband vectorial meta-holograms and dual-way arbitrary polarization switching based on such diatomic metasurfaces are experimentally demonstrated in the visible-near infrared frequencies.

A.Prof. Zilan Deng and Dr. Junhong Deng (Southern University of Science and Technology) are co-first author of this article.
