Optical spectroscopy is revolutionizing food analysis by offering a rapid, non-destructive, and eco-friendly alternative to traditional methods. By integrating AI and chemometrics, these "green analytics" can simultaneously decode multiple nutraceutical indicators from a single flash of light. Benefiting from telecom-derived micro-photonics, the field now features highly compact, robust, and low-cost instruments accessible to non-experts. This tutorial will introduce the latest pocket-sized and smartphone-connected Near-Infrared (NIR) devices. Through a live demonstration, we will showcase their real-world applications in food quality control and explore opportunities for future collaborations.
报告人简介:
Dr. Anna Grazia Mignani (SPIE Fellow) is a Researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR-IFAC) and an internationally recognized expert in photonic biosensing and optical fiber sensors. From 2016 to 2022, she served as a Seconded National Expert at the European Research Council (ERC-EA). She has led numerous EU and bilateral projects and acts as an expert reviewer for the European Commission. Dr. Mignani holds 22 patents, has authored over 50 SCI papers with 2,600+ citations, and actively serves on the SPIE Board of Directors.
